Did you make a new years resolution to be more active? Could you use a couple more friends or connections in the community where you live? If so, then you’ll be glad to read this…
If you live around the Nolensville Corridor in the south side of Nashville/Brentwood area (Lenox Village, Lenox Creekside, Bradford Hills, Burkitt Place, etc.) and you are an avid runner or a beginner, you should consider joining the South Side Runners running club.
See below for a note from the founder, Jamie Shea:
In just over one month (March 7th to be exact) the South Side Runners will be celebrating its one year anniversary. In the past year I have meet some great people and made several new friends. That being said, there is always room for more! We want this group to grow and help people in the community become active while enjoying meeting new friends. Starting next week, every time you come to a run you can enter your name in a drawing. If you bring a new friend to run, they can enter their name and you can enter your name again. On our anniversary run, we will have drawing for prizes so the better your attendance, the better your chances. There are five weeks leading up to March 7th. We want to reward those that come on a consistent basis so we are working on something special for members that come 4 out of the 5 weeks. If you never ran with us before then now is a good time to start! As for tonight, the wintery mix that the weathermen are forecasting is not supposed to start until midnight. You have plenty of time to get that run in! Happy running everyone!
Here’s a flyer with a little more information on where and when to meet:
